Unexpectedly & suddenly died doing what he loved at Wallsend Colliery on 30th September, aged 74 years. Mike will be greatly missed by all his family and friends.

A celebration of Mike Howell's life

A celebration of Mike's life will take place at The Forest of Dean Crematorium Chapel on Wednesday 30th October at 11:30am, followed by a private burial. No flowers. By family request, no mourning clothes. Dress code to be informal and relaxed, colourful clothes may be worn. Miners welcome to wear hard hats.

 

Donations to Gloucestershire Cave Rescue Group (who so bravely took part in his rescue) would be appreciated and may be given on this web page, placed in the donations box at the chapel or sent to Ernest Heal & Sons Funeral Directors, 5 South Road, Broadwell, Coleford, Glos.
